It is our pleasure to announce that the Aquatic Center Volunteer of the Year Award. The Aquatic Center receives countless requests to make improvements, make repairs, and “wouldn’t it be nice if you could just add this to your program”. On rare occasions, someone steps forward and says – “How can I help, let me know if there is anything that I can do!” This volunteer has asked that question not just once, instead they have asked that question every time they have finished a project.
What You Should Know About This Volunteer
• Over 10 sets of sweep oars have been so much nicer on your hands with new suede grips • Your row in the Bay singles has gotten much smoother with new tracks • You can adjust your footboards all the way into the bow again in the Black Magic • The Shotwell goes straighter with a new skeg and rudder • Your erg splits have improved now that the ergs have been cleaned, oiled and vacuumed • State Parks Point Plaza never looks better than when she has been a part of the cleanup crew
So please join us in reaching out to say thanks to the Aquatic Center Volunteer of the Year Awardee, Jackie Snyder. She has spent countless hours becoming our volunteer boat rigger and stepping up to help with many projects that have made rowing here at the Aquatic Center much more enjoyable. Jackie has also recruited others to help in these projects and we are forever grateful that Jackie is a part of our AC family.
No one deserves this more than Jackie! She's my role model in many ways. Congrats, Jackie!
